DM ISOLATION

The studio reconfigured into more of a theater type of setup with all workstations facing forward to view the video screen.

Our empty laundry room, which was really just being used as a NOC for the house.

We needed some foam to deaden the sound reflecting off the tile floor and walls. Telly had the great idea to use the packing peanuts in the attic.

We shoved the peanuts into garbage bags, piled them up, and hung them from the cabinets. Already making a significant difference in sound quality.

This is a shot in progress at the sample session last Friday. Jeff is working on the audio workstation soft patching the signal through various VST effects. Telly is dialing in (or out) an am/fm/shortwave radio, sending signal into the audio pc. Meanwhile in the ISO room, a microphone was mixing signals with the radio.

Time Slips By - Live at Chillits 2008 - Audio

The bootleg copy of the TSB live set at Cloud Factory's Chillits Camp out, 2008.

Time Slips By - Live at Chillits 2008

A few notes, for those of you who weren't at Chillits this year. We had a few technical issues. Some of the obvious ones in this recording are the abrupt volume changes, especially in the bass as we tried to correct for the clipping of the bass amplifiers. Also, the harsh ending on the set when we blew the breakers on the generator.

I spliced in some of the audio from the video camera at the end to give it some context.

Thank you everyone who helped to make this set a reality this year!

Time Slips By - Performance Teasers

Joshua and I have been putting in hundreds of hours into our performance coming up on September 13th. Writing brand new music, programming synchronized lighting, and developing video footage.

Here are a few short teasers that give a sense of what we're doing, without giving away any of the surprises.
